MCAC Overview:

Are you looking for an opportunity to join a national movement and make a difference in the lives of Missouri students? Serve with the Missouri College Advising Corps!

The Missouri College Advising Corps (MCAC) mission is to Empower Missouri Students to Go to College and Succeed. Headquartered at the University of Missouri and part of the College Advising Corps national network, MCAC recruits, trains, and places recent college graduates as full-time, near-peer college (and career) and advisers in partner high schools across the state with high percentages of students from low-income and underrepresented backgrounds.

Eligibility:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must have a bachelor’s degree from any institution and in any academic discipline earned between 2021 and August 2025.
  • Must meet the minimum requirements to participate in AmeriCorps including status as a U.S. citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident and clearance of a National Service Criminal History Check pursuant to 45 C.F.R. § 2540.202.
  • Must not have served more than 2 full-time terms of service in any other AmeriCorps program.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior volunteer/service experience or experience working with youth from diverse backgrounds.
  • Basic computer skills; experience with Microsoft Office (particularly Outlook and Excel).
  • Prior experience with data collection, entry, and analysis.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
